Training Film

OAPGG creates problem gambling training films based on a 3-step intervention model: recognition, connection, and call to action.

The 2024 training film features 6 common scenarios, including upset customers, panhandling, employees experiencing harm, unattended children, underage gambling, and sharing problem gambling resources.

Responsible Gambling Policy

What does responsible gambling really mean, and how can we create safer gaming environments?

Understanding and implementing responsible gambling policies is key to protecting customers, employees, and vulnerable groups, such as minors.

This policy, developed in collaboration with our tribal partners, outlines essential guidelines on responsible gaming, self-exclusion, casino employee responsibilities, training, and ethical marketing practices.

Our responsible gambling resources have grown in collaboration with tribal nations.

With our partners’ help, we are cultivating a culture of responsible gambling programs and helping those that develop a gambling problem.

Smart Play OK

OAPGG won NCPG’s Affiliate Public Awareness Award for the Smart Play OK campaign in 2020.

Established in November 2019, Smart Play OK united the 33 tribes operating 143 gambling facilities across Oklahoma under a common responsible gambling platform. Smart Play OK was developed through Tribal Voices, a collaborative grassroots effort between the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA), the Oklahoma Association on Problem Gambling and Gaming (OAPGG), and a representation of tribal and casino employees.
